I think I might be crazy.

Tate takes 3 naps a day. He wakes up at 7, eats breakfast and goes right back to sleep until 9. Then he takes a second nap around 11:30 and a third and final nap around 2. It's a good schedule. It's worked for us thus far. His first nap is just long enough for me to shower and get ready for the day.

However, lately, I feel like I'm stuck in the house, waiting for him to wake up or rushing home to put him down. I feel like our whole day revolves around his naps. Which isn't such a bad thing. I'd rather revolve around his nap schedule than have a crank-a-munk baby all day long.

But the more I thought about it, the math started to come together in my head. Instead of 3 shorter naps...maybe I can get him on 2 longer naps. It works in my head so it should work in real life, right??? Right? Anyone? Oh, I hope I'm not playing with fire.

Today was a good day to start the new schedule. He slept in a 1/2 an hour later, until 7:30. That made it a lot easier to keep him awake until 9 am. At 9, he crashed as soon as I put him in his crib. It's now almost 10 and he's still snoozing away.

Please let this work...please let this work...please let this work...please let this work.
