They Should Name a Wing After Us

I think they should name a wing after us at the local hospital. Tell everyone who stays in it that the reason it exists is because the Kemper family has spent so much money in the ER, on overnight stays and various surgeries. That without our generous support and 'donations', the care they're receiving wouldn't be possible. Ha!

In case you haven't guessed it, we spent yet another day in the ER today. Tate has been running a low-grade fever off and on for 2 weeks now. Over the last couple of days, he's also been sleeping a lot. It finally came to a head yesterday when he was awake for a total of 5 hours the whole day! He hasn't slept that much since he was a newborn.

I took him into the Ped's office today and he wanted us to have a full work-up done. Blood work, urine sample, chest x-ray and throat culture. The only problem was he was leaving in an hour and wouldn't be around for the results. So, he called the ER to let them know we were coming and sent us over there to have the tests done. That way, we could wait there for the results and start the necessary treatment right away.

After all the tests were done and Tate was asleep, the Dr informed me that everything appeared normal. Tate has some slight redness in his left ear, so we're treating that as an ear infection with antibiotics. I really hope this is the cure and that the fever stops.
