A Pre-Birthday Birthday Dinner (part 1)

We spent the majority of today working hard around the house trying to get things clean and spiffy for Tate's birthday party next week. (And when I say 'we', I mean Chris. Tate and I were just playing.)

So, we decided to treat ourselves and go out to dinner. Ok, who am I kidding, we go out to eat all the time. But this was to Sam Seltzer's, an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G prime rib place. Tate had a sitter last night while we went to a neighborhood party, so we decided to bring the kid along.

Of course, I brought my other 'kid' along too, my camera. Lately, I've had a couple people ask me if I take my camera everywhere with me. The answer is, quite obviously, yes. I'm obsessed.

On the way to the restaurant.

We made a deal that I could take his picture if he could play with my camera bag. Sucker!

Backseat driver.
He totally learned to clap today. Just started doing it this morning. We've been working on it for weeks. Who knew I could be so proud of my child hitting his two hands together?!

At the restaurant.

"Mutha, please! I'm trying to eat!

Our super cute waitress, Kristin. She loved Tate. And he apparently loved her too. She was taking the order of the people at the table next to us and Tate reached out and tried to grab her bum! Chris and I were laughing so hard. Of course, we had to tell her. She was soooo flattered!
