Happy Thanksgiving! (2 days late)
I've been trying to get these pictures uploaded for 2 days now, but couldn't get the site to work. Some pictures from our Thanksgiving.
Riding along in his automobile on our way to Thanksgiving dinner. What, you expect that I got gas in preparation for driving on the holiday! HA!

Very cold weather!
And by very cold, I mean 64 degrees. We went to the park anyways. Of course, the park we had planned to meet friends at this morning was Marina Jacks, which is on the water. The wind was so strong, Tate almost fell over quite a few times. Ultimately, I think he really enjoyed the cold weather. Too bad it's supposed to be back in the 70's next week. Oh well, he got to wear his super cute hoodie from Uncle Norman, and that's all that matters.
"I can't go to the park Mommy, I'm sleeeeppping!" (He had blinked right when I took the picture.)

It's hard to tell, but he's voicing his opinion about having to hold my hand.

Free to swing his arms as he pleases and not have to hold Mommy's hand.

Showing his tough side. Maybe I should have sagged his pants down a little bit?
"You messin' wit me?"

All dressed up with no place to go.
Because all the people were coming to us. We had my birthday party last night. Lots of fun. Tate did great. But boy was he impatient (or is it inpatient?) waiting for everyone to arrive.
Yikes! He looks so old!
"Really, Mom. When are these people going to get here so I can show them how cute I am and get dirty already?!?!"

To be fair...
He did get better as the day went on. He might have even let a smile or two slip out! GASP!
Mollie, Tate & Summer at the park. Summer's all about making sure the toy is safe before climbing on. Clearly, Tate was being reckless by getting on before checking to make sure that the spring wasn't broken.

Are you sitting down? If not, you probably should. Then again, I don't know many people who cruise the internet standing up. He actually napped. And I risked life and limb (and waking him up) to take a picture. And to think, I was going to pull the bink(ies)! Mean mommy.

Who do I call?
I need an updated toddler model with a 'tantrum off' switch. This one doesn't even have a customer complaint number anywhere on his body. But apparently there is a 'tantrum on' switch on him somewhere because it accidentally got switched on 3 days ago.
The reason for lack of new pictures is it's hard to get a good picture of him while his head is spinning demonically and the flying fists and kicking feet are a danger to my camera.

The story of the chairs.
On our way back from Las Vegas, when we stayed for a whopping 8 hours at Brooke's house, Tate decided that he loved Payton's chair. I decided that I wanted to get Tate one, so I set out searching the consignment shops.

I couldn't find one, but one of the ladies who works at one of the stores mentioned that she had a mini recliner left over from her granddaughter that she had been meaning to bring in to sell. She said she would bring it in for me to see the next day.
The next day we went back and the chair was super cute. Loved it. Best part, only $30! Can't beat that. Tate loved it as well. Brought it home and sprayed it down with Febreeze as it was a little old and musty smelling. Left it outside to dry and air out. When Chris came home, me mentioned that he smelled cigarette smoke. It was the chair. I hadn't even noticed it because it had been outside all day drying.
He got out the carpet shampooer and went to town on the chair. Cleaning it up one side and down the other. The next day, it still smelled. So I put it outside again, this time in the sun, to try and bleach some of the smell out. No luck.I took it back to the consignment shop and they gave me a full refund (which they don't normally do). The woman felt bad and I felt bad that it didn't work out. It was such a cute chair.
Tate, on the other hand, was totally bummed that his chair was gone. He kept looking for it and whining when it wasn't in the spot it had been in. So, I started a new hunt for a chair.
I found a super cute one at the first store I went to. A little (ok, a lot) more than I wanted to spend, but it is so cute and has a matching ottoman! Merry Christmas a month+ early, Tate!
