Before & After: The Haircut Edition

I can always tell it's time for Tate to get a haircut when he wakes up from his nap looking like Don King. Such was the case today.

Before

"Stop taking my picture! My hair looks funny. This is soooo embarassing! The whole internet will see me looking like this, Mommy!"

After

"Cheeeessseee! Now I'll smile. I'm a handsome stud-muffin!"

It's Video Mania

I was taking videos of Chris, Tate & Kaya playing with the remote control car tonight. They're kind of dark, but worth it. The best part of both are towards the end and reflected in the titles.

Tippy Toe Tate

Cheering Kaya On

Busy, busy boy.

To do list:

Sort my blocks.

Climb up the slide when Mommy isn't looking.

Slide down the slide when Mommy is looking.
Swing so high I puke up my lunch. Just a little, but puke nonetheless.

Read my book on the front porch.

part 2

Holiday pitcher and flowers. The pitcher was a gift from Kim. The flowers I just bought today.
Snowman wall hanging, which I should re-name cupboard door hanging since that's where it's, uh, hanging.

The entryway.

Entryway across from the mirror.

Spreading more holiday cheer.

I finally got around to taking pictures of holiday decorations inside the house. Here goes! (Might have to do this in 2 posts as I have a lot of pictures.)

One of my two nativity scenes. I only set this one up as I don't have another place high enough to put the other one so that Tate couldn't get to it. (If there were a contest for run-on sentences, I would so win at least honorable mention with that last sentence.)

Snowman candle holder. Sitting on my side kitchen counter.

Christmas Cards

Kitchen towels. (Santa & a post-Atkins Mrs. Clause kissing under mistle toe.) These were a gift from Kim.

Our tree. I promise it's not blurry when you look at it in real life.

Picking Oranges

Today we took a walk around Ginni's new 'hood and then picked some oranges off of their trees. When I say we picked some oranges, I mean Kim picked the oranges, Ginni put them in the basket, Tate took them out of the basket and I sat on my rear end taking pictures. Just to clarify.

Not so Ho Ho Ho.

A picture is worth a thousand words. I'll let this one speak for itself.

Busy.

"Mother! Please no pictures right now. I need to take this call!"

So off to the park we go.

I was trying to clean the kitchen today, and Tate was doing his best to unclean my cleaning. I hung up the towels on the over door, he pulled them off. I hung them up again, he took one off and dunked it in the dog's water bowl. I tossed that one in the washer, he got out all the tupperware. Dumped it on the floor and walked away. I picked it up and put it away, he came back and pulled it all back out. I think you can see where this is heading. He had so much energy if I could have bottled it, I would have been set for 3 lifetimes.

So, we picked up Ginni and went to meet Mollie & Summer at the park. It was (still is actually), a perfect day. 71 & sunny with a slight breeze. We had a great time at the park and now both kids are sleeping soundly.

Too short to properly play on this toy, but he likes it anyways.

BFF's. (Best Friends Forever for those not in the know.)
Racing to the top. Tate won in case you can't tell. Not sure either of them knew it was a race, though.

Despite what it looks like, he was not pooping. Just taking a break to smile at the woodchips and thank them for padding so many of his falls.

On the way home, trying to hold hands.

Holiday Cheer

At Mom's request (see what you can get by leaving comments!), here are some pictures of our Christmas decorations.

"You pick out the tree, Mom. I'll play with this cool rope!"
How funny would it have been if he'd pulled the whole tent down! And by funny I mean horrifingly embarassing, of course.

With Daddy buying a Christmas tree.

Our festive house. It sort of looks like it's on fire!

Door wreath and snowman (from Mom!)

Door wreath lit up.
More holiday decor picture to come in the next few days after we get our tree decorated.

Slacker

I've been slacking on the pictures lately. No real reason, just haven't been taking as many. Part of my camera is broken and while it still works, I need to get the piece fixed. I'm worried it will break further and be more expensive to fix.

On to the pictures.

Trying to pose a picture with 2 toddlers. Foolish, foolish woman!

Going for a walk. It was snug, but they were happy.

Sharing Cheerios.

While the typing on a keyboard may come from Mommy, that tongue, oh that tongue is ALL Daddy.

Kisses for Marley.

How about a little comment action? Who is reading? Likes? Dislikes? Holla back!

File under: Things I never thought I'd say.

"Tate, please get that hotdog out of your ear, it's going to get stuck!"

Reunited and it feels so good!

Tate's Ginni-girl is back in town and he is happy as a clam.

Kissing her hand to welcome her home.

Just hanging out.

"Ginni, you run for the dog's water bowls and I'll make a run for the toilet. My mom won't know which way to go! Hehehe!"

King Tate wishes for a sippy cup of milk, heavy on the chocolate, shaken, not stirred. Animal cookies on a gold platter and the remote control. Snap Snap!"

*Insert Witty Title Here*

Kaya tickles him until he can't take it anymore.
Just like Mommy.

"This toy is for you, Mommy!"

The string of his balloon got caught in his slinky. He was concentrating so hard on untangling them. My little rocket scientist. (That is what rocket scientists do, right? Untangle slinkies?)

The elusive red-eye Georgia Bulldog Monster.
